Tessuto Collection
Inspired by the distinct weaving techniques used to make specific fabrics and the city that were the home of these weaving traditions. Lancashire is the British home of gingham. In the eighteenth century factories in England in the midst of a brutal financial slump latched onto gingham production as a way to revive their finances. Influenced by tartans and plaids a group of weavers based in Lancashire developed the iconic check pattern gingham, allowing the previously popular stripe gingham to die out

I discovered this beautiful collection on my travels. These pieces are inspired by antique Persian flat weaves and the textures of vintage fabrics, hence the name ‘Tessuto’ meaning fabric.
